Week 37: Pictures only :D

April 17, 2017

My comp asked for "crepes" this week. I told her in my family they`re called PALACSINTAK! :)

Palacsintak and the traditional Argentine egg (it always has little chocolates or gum inside :D)

Week 36: Wow!!

April 10, 2017

This week was amazing!
Tuesday we had zone conference
Wednesday we had interviews
Thursday we finally had some time to teach and then had a ward activity in the evening
Friday we had canceled the intercambios that my comp was going to have so we had another day of work
Saturday we went to the outer reaches of our zone (and the mission :D) to do an all day chapel tour in a little branch
Sunday we had ward council and a baptism after church and then did weekly planning because we still hadn`t done it.
So all in all we had about 24 hours from this week to do missionary work in our area :D. But we were still able to find new investigators, two of which came to church, along with the great less active we found the other day.
Oh! And the chapel tour Saturday was awesome! we were able to teach quite a few people and we got to know the members.
Love you all!!

Week 34: Okay, big news

March 27, 2017

Soo...
Wednesday evening we were finishing up companion study when the assistents called. Being the funny person I am, I put on a frightened face. Then my comp hands me the phone, and I start to actually feel nervous. Then I get the news that WOOHOO!! EMERGENCY TRANSFERS!!
I had enough time to say goodbye to Junior and Morena, pack my bags that night, take pictures with companions and leave the next morning for the other side of the mission:
Alejandro Korn, with Hna Davis who is the STL of this area, and .... yeah... it was fun.
This ward is great, they are really oriented in missionary work, and we had a few investigators in the sacrament meeting. It`s super fun and I`m super excited!
I`m especially excited for General Conference. Today I downloaded the women`s session and am going to watch it with my comp.
Love you all!!

Week 35: Hello!

April 3, 2017
So it was a great week, the people here are very receptive.
We had a name in every slot as usual, so that we´d never have to wonder who to visit next, but in that day we only got through the first three names because they were all home and wanted to listen to us!!
Yeah!!
We´ve also been doing lots of contacts in order to find new investigators. Last Sunday we had three of them come to sacrament meeting.
It´s been crazy trying to keep up with everything and this week is going to be even crazier because my companion needs to do exchanges and we also have zone conference, interviews, and a chapel openhouse... yeah... we´ll be going a little locitas, but it´ll be fun. All of the time we aren´t in a meeting we have appointments, so we´ll be running off our feet.
It just so happens that THIS AREA HAS BIKES!!!! :D. It also just so happens that they broke the week before I got here :(. Ah well, the area isn´t that big anyway :).
How´s spring? This week the weather´s been amazing, welcoming the fall. There´s always a nice wind and it´s almost always been cloudy. I can´t wait for winter!
I love you all and hope you have a great week!

Week 33: Priorities

March 20, 2017

aka-- You guys!
I`m writing to you all first because there`s a lot to do today and I don`t know if I`ll get to it later :D.

Big news!!
Once upon a time there was a sleeping missionary who dreamed that she was entering into the poorer part of their area with two other missionaries-- her companion and another one. As they entered a dog bit her heel. Annoyed, she called out to her two other companions to come back.
A few weeks later, they received the transfer call. As expected, she and her companion stayed in the area, and as dreamed, they received another hermana!
I`M IN A TRIO!!! :D

This week was great! You know you`re doing a good job when at the end of the day you`re walking back to your apartment and you still feel like singing and dancing and doing a heel click, but have to contain yourself because you`re in public :D. It`s so much fun!

We found a less active member looking for her sister-in-law (also less active) and she said she wanted to come to church with us AND SHE CAME! Some of the members remembered her and with other it was a little awkward, because they asked if she was an investigator :S. But she enjoyed it and afterwards downloaded the gospel library app and we have an appointment to visit her!
Junior and Morena are going to be baptized this Saturday. Two members are going to do it-- a return missionary and a recent priest. We`ve been coming up with schemes to start teaching there mom and activating their sister, so it`s going to be fun (and now we have another brain to help :D)

I don`t really remember much else that happened this week... so I just opened my journal `cause I remembered that I`d brought it :D
This week we built a dog house with a less active that we`ve really been working with... but then a few days later she asked that we stop visiting until she calls us :(. But she said we could still stop by to say hi, so that`s fine.

We`ve got the members working with us more. A member of the bishopric explained to Junior and Morena about the bishopric and a less active family offered to have lessons with us! I`m going to be helping the YWs with their song in the ward conference, so we`ll be inviting all of the less active YW to come, too.

Woohoo! I love you all have a great week, get ready for General Conference, the Womens Session is this Saturday-- enjoy it!

Love you all!!

(Presents Hermana Biesinger bought herself with money sent from home...a Rubik's cube? Imagine that :D.  Now the cat could use a little explanation...)

She wanted to go tracting in her tiger blanket in the crisp autumn air :D
